Ceiling Mounted System
Solo-Step®’s Ceiling Mounted System is customized for each individual facility’s needs. Each system consists of aluminum track, trolley, lanyard, and harness. Current systems have varied in size from 7.5 ft over a treadmill to over 216 ft along an oval running track.
Components
Track – The track is made from heavy duty extruded aluminum. This high performance track is available in any length and can be used in straight pieces or curves.
Trolley- The trolley is designed to roll effortlessly through the track allowing the user to control the speed and direction of movement and not create inertia that will affect the patient’s rehabilitation activity such as balance.
Lanyard – This component connects the Harness to the Trolley. It is designed to ensure safety and comfort, and features a swivel to avoid tangling and allow free movement. Lanyards are adjustable and can be used with ceiling heights from 8 ft. to 15 ft., however there is no actual maximum height limit.
Performance Harness
Features:
- Light-weight and machine washable.
- 5 points of adjustments to ensure a safe, comfortable fit.
- Padding is located in the shoulder, leg, and back for patient comfort.
- Safety buckles protecting against accidental falls.
- Performance comfort pocket – ability to hold a cool pack, a heat pack or hydration pack.
- Harness is protected by a durable water and weatherproof material; helps limit abrasion and deterioration from UV rays and corrosive chemicals.
Vest Harness
Features:
- Light-weight and machine washable.
- 5 points of adjustments to ensure a safe, comfortable fit.
- Harness is built into the vest for comfort.
- Leg straps zip into the back of the harness for easy storage.
- Safety buckles protecting against accidental falls.
- Sides are made with comfortable and breathable mesh material.
- Pockets in the front for equipment
Endstops
This component connects the Solo-Step® track to the adjustable legs.
Portable System
Solo-Step,® Inc. continues to strive to provide technology that is simple in its design, economically practical, yet extremely effective in a clinical setting. The Solo-Step Portable System has achieved this goal and provides the same unique benefits to its users as the traditional ceiling-mounted version, but it can be assembled and disassembled.
Solo-Step’s new portable system is ideal for facilities that cannot install a traditional system into their ceiling,
as well as, areas that do not have brick and mortar physical therapy facilities. This system insures that Solo-Step System can be utilized by a variety of people in all types of settings.
Components
The Portable System includes the same components as the standard system; however portable components allow it to be free standing.
Adjustable Legs
Legs contain self-leveling bases and can be adjusted from 8 ft. – 9.5 ft. The pads on the bottom ensure the floor won’t get scratched and will be level on uneven surfaces.
